Performance of activated alumina

Activated alumina, also known as activated bauxite, it has another name “activated aluminum oxide”. It is one of the most widely used inorganic chemical products in the world. Because activated alumina has a porous structure, a high specific surface area and an unstable transition state, it has greater activity. The alumina used in the catalyst is usually called "activated alumina". It is a porous, highly dispersed solid material with a large surface area, and its microporous surface has the characteristics required for catalysis, such as Adsorption performance, surface activity, excellent thermal stability, etc., so it is widely used as a catalyst and catalyst carrier for chemical reactions.
Activated alumina has selective adsorption capacity for gas, water vapor and some liquid moisture. After the adsorption is saturated, it can be revived by heating at about 175-315°C to remove water. Adsorption and resurrection can be carried out multiple times. In addition to being used as a desiccant, it can also absorb the vapor of lubricating oil from polluted oxygen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, natural gas, etc. It can also be used as a catalyst and a catalyst carrier and a chromatographic analysis carrier. Activated alumina belongs to the category of chemical alumina. It is mainly used in adsorbents, water purifiers, catalysts and catalyst carriers. According to different uses, its raw materials and preparation methods are different.
Under certain operating conditions and regeneration conditions, the drying depth of activated alumina is as high as -70 degrees below the dew point temperature. It can be used as a defluorination agent for high-fluorine drinking water (large fluorine removal capacity), and defluorination of circulating alkanes in the production of alkylbenzene. It can be used as a deacidification regenerating agent for transformer oil, used as a gas drying agent in the oxygen industry, textile industry, electronics industry, automatic instrument wind drying, and as a desiccant and purifying agent in chemical fertilizer, petrochemical drying and other industries (the dew point can reach -40 Degree), the pressure swing adsorption dew point in the air separation industry can reach -55 degrees. It is an efficient desiccant for deep drying of trace water. It is very suitable for non-heat regeneration devices.
