What is the adsorption material?

2022-03-09

1. Adsorption material is also known as adsorbent, is a solid substance that can effectively adsorb certain components from a gas or liquid. The adsorbent material should have a large specific surface area, suitable pore structure and surface structure; strong adsorption capacity for VOC; no chemical reaction with VOC and medium. Common adsorption materials are: Activated carbon, Silica gel, Activated alumina, Molecular sieve etc. It can be used for VOCs adsorption, gas masks, water purification, etc.
2. Main parameters of adsorbent material Saturated adsorption capacity: The adsorption capacity is the amount of adsorbate (VOC) that can be adsorbed when the unit weight of the adsorbent reaches adsorption saturation, and the unit is mg/g. Due to different chemical properties, different VOCs, different boiling points, and different saturated adsorption capacity, can be used to measure the saturated adsorption capacity by isothermal adsorption line.
Compared with other adsorbents, molecular sieves have good adsorption performance and still have a high adsorption capacity at higher temperatures, but there are still some problems to be solved in terms of cycle stability and durability.
3. Molecular sieve adsorption and desorption working principle
Under the action of the adsorption fan, the organic waste gas enters the pre-filter box from the air inlet, and the pre-filter filters and blocks the particulate matter in the exhaust gas, so as to prevent the particulate matter from entering the adsorption layer to block the pores of the molecular sieve and affect the purification effect.
Then the exhaust gas enters the adsorption and desorption boxes on both sides through the pre-filter (with a bypass insulation layer in the middle, and the bypass valve is directly opened and discharged when the detected concentration of organic waste gas reaches the standard), and the adsorption layer in the adsorption and desorption box is adsorbed. Adsorption and purification of organic waste gas.
The catalytic combustion device is set above the adsorption layer. When the adsorption layer of zeolite molecular sieve (or activated carbon molecular sieve) is close to saturation (the exhaust gas concentration reaches the set value), the PLC controller automatically closes the intake valve, opens the catalytic combustion intake valve, and the catalytic combustion Burning electric heater.
The fresh air is heated to a certain temperature by the energy-saving device under the action of the desorption fan, and then enters the adsorption layer for desorption. The desorbed gas enters the catalytic combustion, and the combustion and oxidation reactions are converted into CO2 and H2O under the action of the catalyst. The combusted gas is discharged from the exhaust port, and the product has no secondary pollution.
